Controlling algae is a key motivation for renewal of a long-term partnership to ensure clean water for South Korea.
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – As a water-challenged nation, South Korea depends on rainfall harvested during the summer monsoon season. Keeping this water free of algae is critical to the country’s industrial and recreational facilities. Without proper treatment, algae can degrade water quality and clog filtration systems.
Controlling algae in South Korean waters is the primary mission of Soft Aqua Co. Ltd. For the past decade, Soft Aqua has partnered with Arkansas-based Earth Science Laboratories to deploy EarthTec®, a copper-based, liquid algaecide. The two companies recently renewed their long-term relationship with a contract extending EarthTec distribution rights for Soft Aqua in South Korea.
